A Korean/ Japanese restaurant in the heart of Doha
A couple of my friends and I decided to visit Yee Hwa a while back to try their Korean bbq. Trying a Korean BBQ was on my wishlist for a long time, probably because of the many BuzzFeed videos on them. consequently, I’m glad I tried this restaurant as it was honestly one of the best experiences I had, I’m not sure if it is the fact that I’m technically cooking my own food or if it is just the overall ambience of the place that makes me want to go there again and again.
This restaurant follows the saying ” don’t judge a book by its cover”, as it is nothing fancy. In fact, the walls and the whole setting gives a very casual vibe which is the charm of it, as the only thing you will get to judge is the food, which is the main reason you went.
The food… I was extremely happy with the food everything tasted excellent the experience you get to have of cooking your food on your table is splendid and fun when you go with a group of friends.
Mixed Korean BBQ For two – Quantities are big so three people could share it easily with some side dishes
Garlic rice – Must order this side dish as it is delicious
one of their Shrimp rolls
The menu has a vast amount of options to try from, which I will for sure try at the soonest and update you guys about!
This place is a must try for Korean BBQ even though the prices may be slightly high for the decorations and place itself, trust me you will get the value of money back by their big portion sizes and flavorful food.
I rate this place a 5/5 which is very rare for me but honestly, the food is great the ambience is cosy. The only problem you will face in this restaurant is finding a parking spot, as it is located in Al Nasr Street which is known to be always crowded. My tip is to park behind the place in the residential part and have a 2-5 min walk to yee Hwa.
Until next time, crave the dish…
