My answers to the seven questions from are:
1. Who is your biggest inspiration?
This question required a lot of thought, as I look up to many people in my life many of whom are well-known chefs, as cooking is my passion, nevertheless, I chose to say that the biggest inspirational person in my life is my friend Dalia.
Dalia fights for what she believes in and wants, moreover, she isn’t afraid to speak her mind and she doesn’t care what people think of her; which are unique characteristics in my opinion. Yes we hear a lot about people that fought for their dreams and their believes and they are inspirational too! but I chose her as she is my friend so I know her personally. She truly is a definition of a strong independent woman, if life stands in her way she kicks it hard and gets it out of the way, Literally ;).
2. How do you define life?
Life is a roller-coaster of days/weeks/months/years, some are bad some are good, sometimes it gets too much that you question it sometimes you are on cloud 9 that you are loving it, Sometimes life is neutral no bad no good.
To have life is not to exist but to grow until you die. So keep learning, keep experiencing and keep living as every bad or good is worth it.
3. Can your best friend be your life partner?
yes & No as I would like my life partner to know me as much as my best friend does however if i’m upset from my life partner I would like to vent to my best friend or vice versa, so I need them to be two people.
4. How you control your mind?
I don’t, if I did I would have been able to lose weight a long time ago. In all seriousness most times I can’t control my brain for example the other day I had an essay to write and submit in 3 hours #procrastinator-life and my brain thought it was a good idea to shut down (it happens to all of us, right?). If I was to control my brain though I probably would practice some types of meditations and mindfulness to exercise my brain and allow it to relax from this fast paced world we live in.
5. What is the most disturbing moment in your life?
I don’t necessary find something really bad that happened in my life disturbing, just because I consider bad stuff that happen as experiences to learn from so if I was to talk about something bad that happened ,that may have been disturbing for me in the moment, I’ll take last Wednesday as the most disturbing moment.
Basically my grandpa was diagnosed with stage four cancer and he was undergoing treatments for the past year and a half and in the last weeks he got really sick and the doctors said there is no hope, so we all expected him to pass away soon. Last Wednesday I started my day off in a funky mood I was anxious but there was nothing to be anxious about, so I was really tense the entire day and on my way home from university I crashed my car in the stupidest way possible even the police were questioning if I was completely conscious when I crashed it, anyways there was no harm to any human thank fully although my car did get wrecked. I went back to the police station to finish the paper work and I got the news, there, that my grandpa passed away. That moment was fumed with emotions that flooded out as tear, I mean it was the funky feeling I had all day, that went when I did the accident because I thought that was the bad thing that is happening but when I got the news I realised it is not only thing and it was overwhelming and honestly a very disturbing moment that I expected but wasn’t ready for. It is like when life wants to rain bad things it storms!
6. What you want to achieve from blogging?
I started this blog based on my passion, cooking. For me this blog is my platform to share all my recipes and thoughts about different dishes, I hope through my blog that I will inspire some dishes and remind people that everyone has a chef in them they just need to bring him/her out and that cooking is all about putting your soul and creative mind into the dish you are making.
7. Who is your biggest competitor?
Myself, I’m always looking to improve myself. I try to bring new stuff to my blogs everyday to make them more interesting and I’m always competing with myself -yesterday and trying to be better. As comparing myself to others is useless in my opinion because everyone has different capabilities, everyone does things differently, and everyone has different expectations and objectives so why compare yourself to someone who isn’t you!
I hope you enjoyed reading some stuff about me, if you are interested in knowing more please tell me as I could write a blog about me. Thank you again, for nominating me, here are my 7 questions:
- what was the thought process before starting your blog?
- What is the most thing you are grateful for ?
- What is your biggest pet peeve?
- How do you deal with writer block (when you are stuck and can’t think of something to write)?
- What are three tips you would give for a starting blog?
- what is one thing you would change about your life at the moment?
- Do you feel like blogging opened up more opportunities in your life?
