A world of Indian flavors and spices
I visited this place with a couple of my friends for lunch, as there was a hype about how it takes you on a trip to India and who wouldn’t want to go to India!
Just as we heard the place interior is brilliant, I have never been to India but one of my friends has and she said that the place brought back memories of her trip. I actually loved how the restaurant set up the place, so many corners covered in Indian elements. I loved it.
Their menu is made to be a story talking about how spices are made in India and how the different dishes differ depending on which part of India they are from. With various options to choose from however a bit of a disappointment was the fact they didn’t have many vegetarian options, which are unlike most Indian restaurant here in Qatar, that was a bummer to my vegetarian friend nevertheless she found something to eat, just not the best.
Another slight disappointment is the fact they didn’t have the ingredients for a lot of dishes on their menu each time we asked for a dish they didn’t have it. Which I think is because they are newly opened and they are still settling in either way we ordered the following:

In terms of food, I have mixed feelings about it I mean I ‘ve had more authentic Indian food. This, in my opinion, is more of a mix of Indian food with American food, for example, the ras malai was made of pancakes mixed with condensed milk instead of cottage cheese.
I rate Jawala 3 out of 5
The overall ambiance is amazing, the seating area is beautiful, the food isn’t the worse it does actually taste good, it is just not authentic Indian food in my opinion and finally the prices are good they are equivalent to any, Indian restaurant you would go to in Qatar.
Until next time, crave the dish…
Well reviewed and Please visit the city of Kolkata next time you visit India. 🙂

You must most definitely try butter chicken, dal makhani which is like a lentil soup. These are my absolute favourite in north indian food!
